Retail Feeder Platform

Our retail feeder funds (platform) give retail investors the opportunity to invest in wholesale funds via a cost effective and simple investment process.

The Platform also provides a pathway for wholesale managers to explore and trial a retail offering.

The Platform is a multi-class multi-trust registered retail scheme.

• Each class is dedicated to one wholesale fund, that is, the only investments to be made by each class will be into the one wholesale fund.
• Each class has its own Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Target Market Determination (TMD) that is customized to suit the platform and the underlying wholesale fund.
• Retail investors invest via their chosen unit class application form after they read the PDS and TMD. If they pass KYC/AML and are accepted, they will receive units in the respective unit class. The Platform invests in the wholesale funds, subject to the PDS dealing terms and fees.
• Retail investors can request a redemption via the unit class application form (online or hardcopy). Subject to the PDS, the platform will request a redemption in the allocated wholesale fund to pay out the retail investor. As soon as the platform has received the cash, subject to the PDS, it will pay out the investor. 

We offer a Platform for illiquid (closed end) wholesale funds and a platform for liquid (open ended) wholesale funds.

Wholesale fund managers can apply to have their funds on the platform.

Not all funds are suitable for the platform and retail investment. To be accepted on to the Platform, a due diligence process is conducted and reviewed by our investment committee.

The platform typically excludes wholesale funds:

• With investments or a structure that are too complex for retail investors
• Which involve unacceptable risk to retail investors

The platform cannot be a majority investor in the wholesale fund and will stop applications if they exceed more the 40% of units on issue in the wholesale fund. The intent of the platform is to support wholesale managers with a minority of retail investors. If the wholesale manager intends to have a majority of retail investors, they should create a standalone retail register scheme. 

• We set out some guidelines in the PDS and TMD to confine retail investors to those who are suitable to invest.
• We will urge caution for investors so that they limit the amount they invest
• Prior to accepting any application of $50,000 or more, NC Group will send out a warning letter to the investor
